Move intuitively; heal intentionally.
For Carly, yoga is more than just a physical practice. Yoga is a lifestyle that begins long before we step foot on the mat. In 2023, Carly took a trip to the Amazon and learned this valuable lesson, along with several others during her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Peru. She’s now taking what she’s learned and sharing it with others in a mindful and inclusive way. Carly believes there is both physical and mental strength to be gained from a regular yoga practice that meets individuals where they are at. When you take a class or book a private session with Sincerely Carly Yoga, you are opening yourself up to a wide range of opportunities to heal, grow, and become a healthier, more content version of yourself.

Private yoga sessions for individuals.
Let’s face it, group classes aren’t for everyone. Maybe you’re a busy mom and can’t make it to any of the scheduled times at your favorite studio. Maybe you have an injury and want a yoga class that caters to that injury. Or, maybe you’ve never even stepped foot on a yoga mat and need help getting started. Wherever you are at, Carly is here to help you reach your goals with specialized and private yoga sessions for individuals.
Who are private yoga sessions for?
Seniors who need assistance in their yoga practice and have certain poses that are off-limits.
Every body is different and has unique skills and abilities. Perhaps you find it difficult moving from the floor to standing and could benefit by starting your yoga practice seated in a chair. Carly can help you do that by taking you through a gentle chair yoga sequence, while acknowledging any other needs you might have. She will go over your goals for yoga with you and make sure you are getting the most out of every session.
Busy moms who have a limited window for self-care.
Being a mother is a full-time job and most only have a small chunk of time they’re not picking kids up from school, attending sporting events, making dinner, and ensuring everyone has what they need to be comfortable. This can make it challenging to find a yoga studio with a schedule that meets your needs… especially if you are trying to be consistent with your yoga practice. The good news is, private sessions with Carly allow you to choose your schedule and prioritize your wellbeing. It’s time you take a pause from caring for everyone else and give back to yourself.
Couples looking to switch up their date nights.
Going out to dinner for date night gets old quick, and sometimes you want to do something different to enhance time spent with your loved one. If this resonates, booking a private yoga session with Carly—even if only one time—is a creative way to bring some excitement (and self-care) into your date nights. Carly even gives the option of adding things like aromatherapy, sound therapy, and thai massage into your private session. If all you and your partner want is a good stretch by candlelight, she can make that happen too.
Athletes that need help slowing down and alleviating sore muscles.
We all need to take time to soften into more restorative poses that allow our body to recover from high-intensity workouts. With Carly at your side, you’ll be able to identify and adopt a calming yoga practice that helps you do just that. Unlike group yoga classes, you will be given one-on-one attention that allows you to get the most out of every stretch and pose.
Teens who want to boost their confidence, try something new, and have one-on-one support.
Some teens aren’t a fan of team sports, and that’s okay. Still, they want to stay active or do something to get out of the house. Other teens struggle with body image or low self-esteem and want to feel more confident in who they are. Carly works with all kinds of teenagers in a supportive and compassionate way. She understands how busy, exhausting, and tough middle school and high school can be, and she is passionate about helping teens learn to relax their mind and body, and accept themselves for who they are.
Individuals of all ages aiming to heal from an unhealthy relationship with food or their body.
Eating disorders aren’t as taboo as some people make them out to be. Nearly 30 million Americans will have an eating disorder at some point in their lives, and that includes both men and women. Carly experienced her own uphill battle with an eating disorder (for 6+ years) and has since aimed to eliminate the stigma surrounding the second most deadly mental illness in the world. She’s worked in residential treatment facilities for adolescents and even wrote a book about her journey in her early twenties. Carly wants to offer private yoga sessions for those recovering from eating disorders because she believes this tailored approach would have been extremely beneficial to her when she was struggling. And even if you’ve never dealt with an eating disorder, issues around food and body are also not uncommon, and there is healing to come from yoga that aims to ditch diet culture and move toward more body acceptance and trust.
Anyone wanting to better their overall health and wellness.
The benefits of yoga are extensive and anyone can experience them with a little bit of time and practice. Yoga has been shown to improve strength, flexibility, stress, sleep, heart health, and more. Carly will gradually help you develop a yoga practice that allows you to reach new and improved heights in your health and wellness.
Advanced yogi’s that want to take their practice even further.
Are you a more intermediate or advanced yoga student wanting to take your yoga practice to the next level? Carly is eager to put together more upbeat sequences that present healthy challenges along the way. She will take time correcting your form and making sure you are getting the most out of every asana through undivided attention and a commitment to helping you grow.
What’s included in my private yoga session?
You have options.
This answer is broad because the main purpose of private yoga classes is to tailor them to whatever you want them to be. That being said, there are a few options you should know about. Any of these items can be added to your private sessions if you so wish.
Aromatherapy
Sound therapy
Therapeutic touch
Breath work
Meditation
Sessions by candlelight
You choose the pace and style.
Do you want a practice that is fast and fluid? Or are you craving slower movement that still strengthens? Do you want to tune into the needs of your body with some intuitive movement, or would you rather hold poses for longer breath counts? It’s all up to you. And if you’re not quite sure what kind of pace you want your yoga classes to be set as yet, Carly will show you some options until you get a feel for what you enjoy most.
What about the types of movement or yoga poses you enjoy most? Stretching? Sitting or lying down poses only? A combination of standing, sitting, and lying down poses? Or, maybe you want to challenge yourself to improve in a certain area, like balance. Whatever style of class you’re after, Carly will take your preferences and create sequences that respect them all while still encouraging you to be better.
